FROM THE PITLANE
The view of the races from the guy left back in the paddock when the cars go out. The people who watch it going off from outside the car tend to have a quite different view of it all, and that’s what’s here, a detailed blog from the perspective of the exploited mechanics who wielded the spanners.
But this is our blog. We’re not writing for anyone else, and we don’t care if you like what you read it, it’s not for you. It's for us. It’s our account of how it happened based upon what we saw. It tends to be a little more objective because it misses the adrenaline of the cockpit, but if you want the official version, this isn’t it.
If someone screwed up, we say so. We prefer the brutal truth, and we don’t mind bruising a few egos. It might not be all that pretty, but it’s honest.
As such, the language can be strong, the views expressed can be offensive, and often plain rude. If you are easily offended, go away. Don’t read it and then come complaining to us later. There are idiots in this world, lots of them, but we don’t cater for such folk.
So, read with caution. If you don’t want to, go away.
