Injury of the month: the repeated hammering of my own hand. A few acetylene burns. Head wounds. Skin loss, spark damage, singed hair. Deafness.  Frostbite. The appalling realisation that in the end we're all just worm food.

This section is all bodywork, the repair of the shell, the modifications, and the roll cage installation. There's a LOT of welding here, so it's split into topics. It's not meant to serve as a guide to building a strong race shell, but it might help someone, somewhere. Not that you'll listen to us, we're just the amateurs...

Before trying any of this, get yourself a good welder, an angle grinder, a huge angle grinder, and a Bear. We have three of the four, the welder's more temperamental than a supermodel on acid.
